The number one purpose of ERCF is to celebrate God's presence or worship. Worship is expressing our love to God. Matthew 4:10 says, "Worship the Lord, your God, and serve Him only." We exist to be worshipers. "The Father seeks worshipers and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth."
There are different ways you can express your worship to God no matter what style you choose to do it in: singing, commitment, praying, hearing the word, giving, baptism, meditating, Lord's Supper. These are all ways, according to the Scripture, that you can demonstrate your love for God and celebrate His presence in your life.
At ERCF, we have teams that specifically fall under the purpose of WORSHIP.
- Music Team: This team serves as a support -for the worship leader, the congregation, and oneself--in praise and worship unto the Lord. The music team provides music for the services at ERCF. Expectations of the team members include: to attend regular practices, rehearsals and services, to practice on one’s own as required, and to develop a heart of worship.
Leader: Rosanne Katerberg, Worship Pastor
- Audio/Visual Team: This team is responsible for all sound, lighting, and a/v equipment support for ERCF services. Operating the sound system during music practices as well as all services, providing technical support for video projection of songs, video, and sermon visuals are some of the important tasks this team is responsible for. The a/v team’s contribution to the Sunday services is invaluable!
Leader: Michael Balfoort
- Service Planning Team: This team helps develop components of the Sunday morning services that, combined with the sermon/message, will deliver life-giving change to those who attend.
Leader: Josh Gordon
- Creative Planning Team: This team uses their skills to develop and arrange creative aspects of the Sunday morning and special services. These creative components along with seasonal decorating and displays help deliver an impacting message to those in the congregation.
