Fellowship Teams

"You are a member of God's very own family ... and you belong in God's household with every other Christian."  Ephesians 2:19 (LB)

  • The Church is a family.
  • God expects me to be a member of a church family.
  • A Christian without a church family is an orphan.

We experience true fellowship when we are committed to the body of Christ just as Christ is committed to the church.

  • Commitment builds character
  • Helps to identify who can be counted on
  • Provides accountability
  • Provides a spiritual family to support and encourage
  • Produces spiritual growth
  • Gives opportunity to discover and use one’s gifts in ministry

Fellowship is encouraged at ERCF through ministries including:

  • Summer Celebration:  Our annual Summer Celebrations (campmeetings) encourage us with our families to build new relationships and strengthen old ones.  Spending a week together with kids' programs, campfires, worship, listening to speakers, sports, snack barn refreshments, and more is a sure way for families to get "plugged in" to the family of God here at ERCF.
    Leader: Lisa Dolderman

  • Prayer Team:  connecting with God on behalf of others is true intercession!
    Leader: Sharon Graham

  • Food Services Team:  Good fellowship usually always includes some good food! We would like to make everyone who comes to our church feel welcome and special.  As part of this, the food services team is involved with the following:
-Serving refreshments both at regular and special meetings
-Preparing and bringing food for all kinds of functions
          -Serving at weddings (set tables)
-Cleaning up after we have refreshments- wash dishes etc.
-Shopping for groceries for special events
    Leader: Margaret Balfoort

  • Ushering/Greeting Team:  A friendly "welcome" helps us feel part of the family. The greeters and ushers present a warm, welcoming, comfortable and orderly atmosphere for all who come through the doors of ERCF. Greeters welcome people as they arrive at the services, offering welcome packets to first time visitors and extending the love of Jesus. Ushers hand out bulletins, control seating, receive offering, and serve communion. Greeters and ushers are sensitive to any questions and concerns guests and members may have. They are mature, cheerful, confidant and helpful; knowing how to go the extra mile to make people feel at home. Practical training is provided on-the-job, as well as during occasional group meetings. Greeters and ushers are to be neatly dressed and groomed.
    Leader: Henry Wichers

  • Encouragement Team: This team strives to show the love of Jesus by displaying a welcoming, caring attitude to all who enter our church.  Through the direction of the Holy Spirit, welcome letters, cards to encourage, cards of congratulations (baptism, birth, special events) and sympathy cards are also sent.  Contacts by phone calls or visits may also be made for a specific reason or to encourage.  “People matter to God and therefore, people matter to us!”
    Leader:  Linda Roberts

  • Women's Ministry:  "Women encouraging women to grow in Christ while serving one another through times of fun and fellowship" is the vision of this ministry.  Team members take leadership in planning regular spiritual, fun, inspirational, and supportive activities to help women grow in fellowship and in Christ.
    Leader: Marlene Morris

  • Fellowship Events:  Our annual September Family Picnic is a good relationship builder and opportunity for fellowship.  We love having guests join us so that we can get to know one another better!  "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and "4 by 4's" are other fellowship events that we hold from time to time.
    Leader:  Nikki Wichers
