Serving Teams
Jesus calls us to serve one another and those in our communities.  At ERCF, there are many opportunities to serve:

  • Table Set-Up Team: This team is responsible for the set-up and take down of tables and chairs at various organized church functions. These events include leaders’ luncheons, women’s events, Christmas dinners, and even weddings.  There is no requirement except “willing hands”.
    Leader:  Jason Dekorte

  • Property & Building Maintenance Team: Our volunteer carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, and more are on call to serve in a variety of tasks repairing items in our church.  This is an entirely flexible opportunity that allows team members to serve as needs arise and their schedule permits. Special "work days" throughout the year are organized to tackle larger projects. Our gifted gardeners keep the flower beds in great shape to help beautify the property at ERCF.  This seasonal work allows flexibility of hours to serve!
    Leader:  Kevin Dolderman

  • Administration Ministry Team: The AMT prepares the materials required for ERCF church services and functions and provides clerical services to other ERCF ministries.  This includes:
         -Sunday bulletin compilation
         -Welcome packages
         -Equipped to Serve Magazine preparation
         -Church Directory compilation
         -Typing for other ministry teams
         -Special projects
AMT members must have access to a computer for many of the tasks.
    Leader: Donna Salo

  • Cleaning Team: A clean facility is so important in making everyone who comes to ERCF feel welcomed!  The cleaning team ensures that the church facility is cleaned each weekend in preparation for the Sunday services.   The annual “scrubdown” helps add “finishing touches”.  Volunteers commit to cleaning the facility several ttba

  • Website Team: This team is tasked with the responsibility of maintaining and improving the ERCF website. The website is used as a tool to share information with potential visitors to ERCF and church members. Helping out the website team requires an internet connection, 'netiquette', and creativity.

God has uniquely and lovingly shaped you for purpose and ministry.  Many Christians, who do not discover and get involved in their ministry, tend to feel a sense of aimlessness in their Christian walk.  God has a place for you to serve in the church that fits your unique SHAPE.  You can learn about this in  CLASS 301 – Discovering My Ministry (the third class in a 4 part series we recommend to everyone at ERCF).

I.    Developing a Servant’s Heart

"(Jesus) Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve..."  Mt. 20:28 (LB)

"All of you together are the one body of Christ and each of you is a separate and necessary part of it."  1 Cor. 12:27 (LB)

II.    Understanding My Unique Shape

"God has given each of you some social abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessing."  1 Peter 4:10 (LB)

"... Each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that."  1 Cor. 7:7b

III.    Using My Gifts for Service

"We have different gifts, according to the grace God has given us.. prophesy... serving... teaching... encouraging... contributing... leadership... showing mercy..."  Romans 12:6-8

"Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus..."      Acts 20:24 (LB)

"Each one of you, as a good manager of God's different gifts, must use for the good of others, the spiritual gift he has received from God."  1 Peter 4:10 (GN)
