Elora Road Christian School

The Elora Road Christian School is a ministry of the Elora Road Christian Fellowship Inc.  The school opened in the Fall of 1981.  As an extension of the Christian home and church, the Elora Road Christian School assists and supports families by training their children in Christ-like character and Christian faith, and by providing an excellent academic foundaton.   Click here to visit our school's website.

The Elora Road Christian Fellowship has adopted a policy called “Plan to Protect”. It is very rigorous—and time consuming—but it is worth it. Implementing this policy means our school environment will be SAFE for kids, and safe for volunteers.

Requirements for ERCS Volunteers

  • Volunteer must complete and submit the ERCS Volunteer Application Form (click here to download the form)
  • ERCS will contact 3 personal references (preferably 1 reference from the leadership of the church you attend.)
  • Volunteer (if 18 years or older) must submit a current criminal record check (including the check for sexual offences pardoned).  For volunteers living within Wellington County (with the exception of those who living in the City of Guelph), ERCF will arrange for the check to be done through its office.   In cases where the police make a charge for this service, the volunteer will be reimbursed for the charge.
  • Volunteer must be interviewed by the Principal (or his delegate).
  • Volunteer must read the ERCF Plan to Protect Training Manual.
  • Volunteer must participate in a training session.
  • A photo identification badge will be made to be worn by the volunteer whenever he/she is volunteering for ERCS.
  • Each screened volunteer must renew their volunteer status annually.  Renewing includes participating in annual training as well as completion of the Renewal Application form.
