COVID19_Update_SQ.jpg

The ERCF leadership teams have been in active dialogue and prayer to discuss ERCF’s response to the current COVID-19 Virus pandemic. The situation is extremely fluid, changing hour by hour and our desire as a church is to honor the LORD and make wise decisions that honor each one who calls ERCF their home.

In light of the present state of the COIVID-19 pandemic and in accordance to the Ministry of Health recommendations, ERCF has decided to suspend all public ministry programs beginning Sunday March 15. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will be communicating with you with any new developments.

The suspension of public ministry programs does not mean that the ministry of ERCF is ceasing. In fact, more than ever, we see this as an opportunity to carry out the mission of the church.

The phrase “social distancing” has been used often over the last few days. While some physical space between us might be healthy right now, the last thing we need is to “distance” ourselves from each other and from those most vulnerable in a time of need.

While we may not be meeting in our church building, ERCF has an opportunity to be present and helpful in the lives of those who live near us. Let’s consider checking in on our neighbours, offering to pick up groceries for those who are isolated, calling elderly folk and asking how they are doing, and being creative in how we can maintain “social connection” during this time. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate ‘real life with Jesus’ to those God has placed in our lives.

If you have concerns, a specific need, or would like people to pray for you, we invite you to contact us at prayer@ercf.ca

We encourage everyone to continue monitoring the situation and take necessary precautions to help stay healthy through proper hygiene and following the advice of Public Health agencies.
